Kia ora! Welcome to New Zealand. Most people know our country for its breath-taking Lord-of-Rings scenery, adrenalin-fuelled adventures, remote beaches, and world-class surf breaks. Rowers, of course, know us as one the greatest rowing nations in the world. Kiwi rowers are famous for their extreme work ethic, dedication to the sport, and also their great personalities. The New Zealand rowing system has a long history of nurturing the best rowers in the world, and the professionalism of our school and club coaches as well as regional performance centres guarantees a continuous flow of successful rowing athletes.
For me it's about all of the above, while being innovative and creative, and winning the world over with professional attitude, efficiency and a unique sense of humour.
